As the end of the year approaches, Congress is typically eager to wrap up its business and head home for the holiday season. However, Attorney General Pam Bondi has a message for Congress: stay in session and confirm all of President Donald Trump’s nominees.
On Thursday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Ingraham Angle,” Bondi joined host Laura Ingraham to discuss the importance of confirming these nominees.
Ingraham began the conversation by asking Bondi what she thought about the current situation in Congress, with some members pushing for a recess before the end of the year. Bondi wasted no time in expressing her concern, stating, “I think it’s imperative that Congress not go on recess until all of our President’s nominees are confirmed.”
She went on to explain why this is such a crucial issue, saying, “We are facing unprecedented obstruction and delay tactics from the Democrats. And that’s why we need Congress to stay in session and get these nominees through.”
Bondi is absolutely right. As the Attorney General of Florida, she has seen firsthand the consequences of a government hampered by obstruction and delays. The American people are tired of partisan politics getting in the way of progress and it’s time for Congress to put aside their differences and do what is best for the country.
President Trump has made it clear that he wants to get things done for the American people, and he needs his nominees in place to do so. These nominees include important positions such as federal judges, ambassadors, and positions within the Department of Justice.
But it’s not just about getting things done for the sake of it. These nominees are highly qualified individuals who have been carefully chosen by the President to serve in their respective roles. They have already been vetted and approved by committees, and it’s time for Congress to do their part and confirm them.
Furthermore, the American people have already spoken on this issue. They elected President Trump with a clear mandate to govern and fulfill his promises. By obstructing his nominees, Congress is essentially blocking the will of the people.
It’s time for Congress to do their job and confirm these nominees. As Bondi pointed out, they have a lot of work to do and the clock is ticking. There is no time for partisan games and political posturing.
Bondi’s call for Congress to stay in session and confirm all of President Trump’s nominees is a rallying cry for the American people. We need our government to function efficiently and effectively, and that cannot happen without these nominees in place.
So, to the members of Congress, I urge you: listen to Attorney General Bondi and stay in session. Confirm these nominees and show the American people that you are capable of putting aside politics and putting the needs of the country first.
In the words of President Trump, “let’s make America great again.” And that starts with a functioning government.
