Frankfurt, Germany, 19th September 2023: Genesis has revealed the full pricing and specification for the brand’s highly anticipated luxury flagship saloon, Genesis G90.
Genesis has designed the ultimate G90 flagship model which offers exceptional levels of equipment and features as standard, providing a true “have it all” experience. Customers are able to personalise their model with a handful of simple choices: variant options of four-seater G90 or four-seater G90 Long Wheelbase, ten exterior colour options, five interior colourways and six interior garnishes.
Priced at 115,00€ (129,300 CHF) for G90 and 125,000€ (139,400 CHF) for G90 Long Wheelbase, both variants are equipped with an advanced 3.5-litres turbo V6 petrol engine and fitted with a 48V electric supercharger that delivers enhanced power and response. Delivering a total of 305kW and 549Nm of torque, G90’s engine is mated to a smooth eight-speed automatic gearbox and sophisticated four-wheel drive system, which together work harmoniously to ensure an unparalleled smooth ride. Made possible by the shift-by-wire dial, G90 offers a seamless transition of gears and is placed where the driver can easily take control.
Fine-tuned on European roads by the Genesis engineering team in Germany, to meet the demands of European customers, G90 delivers an exceptionally smooth ride thanks to its three mode Multi Chamber air suspension and Road Preview-Electronic Control Suspension that uses forward facing cameras to read the road ahead. In addition, Rear-Wheel Steering improves maneuverability at low speeds while also increasing stability at higher speeds.
“G90 represents the pinnacle of Genesis as a brand, epitomising what can be achieved by pushing the boundaries of engineering and creative design; bringing it to Europe is a deliberate, bold statement of intent. Through its unique blend of technology, traditional craftsmanship and class-leading accommodation, G90 provides a true first-class experience,” commented Lawrence Hamilton, Managing Director for Genesis Europe.
“We are a brand that always strives to exceed beyond our own parameters, to re-define our design language and re-imagine the definition of luxury. G90 does just this, from an exclusive design concept that offers the enthralling audial escapism of Virtual Venues to an engineering first in manufacturing the largest clamshell bonnet in the automotive industry, G90 is completely unique.”
Representing the most elegant interpretation of Genesis’ Athletic Elegance design philosophy yet, sophistication is taken to the next level with Genesis’ flagship saloon. Externally, G90 features a large aluminum Clamshell Bonnet and trademark Two-Line headlamps, the slimmest yet on a Genesis model made possible by Quad MLA (Micro-Lens-Array) technology for low beam units. The bold Crest Grille consisting of two G-Matrix patterns layered on top of one another to create a three-dimensional effect, combining the headlamps to form the signature Genesis wing emblem.
With a focus on the comfort and well-being of rear seat passengers, G90 offers exceptional interior space, with the Long Wheelbase variant in particular offering an extra 190mm of legroom. Both versions boast a compelling suite of second row comfort and technology features, including Ergo Motion seats and footrests with heating, cooling and massage functions, a pair of 10.2-inch touch screens with individual Bluetooth function and an 8-inch Armrest Touch Screen to set climate control modes, seat position, massage settings, sunblind position and adjust the ambient lighting.
New for G90, Genesis has introduced a range of unique features, such as Mood Curator, onboard fragrance system, as well as a UV-C light disinfection compartment. Premium materials are used throughout, including a brand-new sustainable Newspaper Crown Wood and Newspaper Stripe Wood garnish made from reprocessing wastepaper.
G90 is equipped with a bespoke Bang & Olufsen 23-speaker sound system that has been tailored to blend seamlessly into the interior as well as deliver exceptional audio quality. For those sitting in the front, the Genesis connected car Integrated Cockpit combines a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and 12.3-inch infotainment display into an eye-catching panoramic display. As with other Genesis models, G90 features fingerprint authentication to recall individual preference for seat position, phone contacts, navigation points and even speaker volume.
A suite of advanced safety features are included on G90, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Front Centre Side Airbag, Blind Spot View Monitor, Smart Cruise Control with Machine Learning, Rear Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Surround View Monitor and Lane-Change Oncoming.
